Prior to launching Janine Kot (JK) Recruitment Advisory Services Limited, I owned
and ran a successful recruitment Agency, (Urecruit) for 11 years-of which I will
always look upon fondly.

My clients spanned across e-commerce, engineering, manufacturing, financial
services, professional services, recycling and more-and I had worked with many of
them for more than 14 years-I’ll always feel humbled and proud of this.
This year-2026, marks 16 years in the recruitment industry for me, (not sure what I
did in another life to deserve that)!

I can’t remember the day specifically, but somewhere along the line, (and like many)
I became unhappy, unfulfilled and felt stagnant-I guess doing the same job for that
long can do that to you! I carried on for a long time, (looking back, longer than I
probably should) pushing through, as we all do. The truth is, recruitment is all I have
ever known, I’d built my identity professionally and personally, intwined with Urecruit-
we were one, no separation-without Urecruit, who was I?

Deciding to move on from Urecruit is honestly one of the hardest decisions I’ve
made-it was my baby, I created it!

The timings didn’t marry up how I would have wanted either, but let’s be honest,
when do they in life!

It wasn’t until after I had officially and publicly announced that I was winding-up
Urecruit, that I had the idea for JK RAS Limited.

I was on a dog walk, (Dachshund in case you’re wondering-pics will follow!) getting
outside, away from my desk, is where I am my most creative, can problem solve,
sort out life! I was thinking of the future, what my skills and experiences were and
with my hand on my heart, JK RAS Limited just came to me. As soon as I arrived
back to the office, I put pen to paper, and there I was, mapping out a whole new
business plan-and just like that, a new business was born!

It’s said, things happen for a reason in life, and sometimes you have to take a step
back to move forward-without Urecruit, I wouldn’t be able to launch JK RAS Limited.
I’m so excited for this next chapter and to lead JK RAS because it brings a new,
fresh and unique approach to the recruitment industry - which has evolved
organically, through real recruitment expertise and experience-it delivers what
businesses require, in an ever-changing hiring landscape and hopefully means, I get
to keep working with many of my valued clients along the way.

So, expect contact from me, a fire has been reignited, and I can’t wait to share it with
you!
